Chris Darilek, O.D. earned his Doctorate in Optometry in 2018, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Incarnate Word College of Optometry. Before Optometry school, Dr. Darilek received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, also graduating magna cum laude. He was awarded The Clinical Excellence Award while pursuing his doctorate degree. Dr. Darilek has had extensive training in ocular disease and pre- and post-operative surgical care while completing his rotations at the Austin VA Hospital and at the Community Eye Clinic in Ft. Worth. Dr. Darilek is currently licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and board-certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Dallas County Optometric Society.
He gets the most satisfaction in treating patients with dry eyes, ocular disease, and in treating children. He also enjoys fitting multi-focal (bifocal) contact lenses and difficult to fit lenses for patients with corneal disease.
He enjoys using the latest technology to diagnose eye diseases and keeps up with the newest eye treatments for his patients. In his free time, Dr. Darilek enjoys working out, playing volleyball, attending sporting events, and watching all the latest and greatest tv shows.
